I am the stay at home mom of a 2 1/2 year old boy, and I'm looking to care for one more toddler. I believe strongly in positive/gentle discipline, building the self-esteem of a child, and teaching children to explore! I am looking to form a long term relationship with a child, and his/her family. I keep our little group small so that everyone gets plenty of attention, and our needs are always met. I am available Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:30.
I am in Central Beaverton near SW 6th and Menlo close the Central Beaverton Library and very close to Eichler and Schliffler Parks.

We like to visit the nearby library, parks and farmers market often. We also have play dates with other children, go to the Zoo, and to the Children's Museum at least once a month. We don't spend time watching television, and prefer to read or wrestle, however, we do watch a movie now and then. We spend most of the Spring and Summer outside playing. We also take advantage of the public pool in the cold weather months, and the pool at our place in the summer. Although I live in an apartment, we get plenty of fresh air and outdoor time. I prefer to be at a park so that all the children can run their wiggles out and explore their world!

Before I became a stay at home mom I was a chef. I create all of our healthy meals from scratch. I have a degree in Culinary Art. We concentrate on eating healthy whole foods and avoid most processed and pre-made foods most of the time. My son and I are gluten free, and I can accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions, just let me know!

We are up to all sorts of projects here. If we can't go outside and play, we are painting, building with legos, playing with play dough, rolling trains and cars around, stringing beads, dancing, singing, reading, and doing puzzles.

As far as the educational side of things, we practice our ABC's, counting, shapes and colors. We practice healthy eating habits and try to make food preparation a part of every day! I teach the children about respecting one another, sharing, and being kind. I believe that a peaceful tomorrow begins with a peaceful today! :)

My rates are $35 per day, and include meals and snacks. I do not take DHS. I like to keep the group very small ( no more than 3) so that every child gets the attention he or she deserves. I have a resume and references upon request. Please feel free to email me any questions that you may have or call at 503 804-7446
Remember, excellent child care isn't expensive, it's priceless! :)
